Gingerbread Hills

I was skipping with my Teddy Bear circling our Christmas Tree when my brother raced through the room

He looked funny in his tux that Mom bought for the concert where I learned the song I danced to

Running outside with his sled he said, “Sorry, you’re too little to play outside today.”

So I tiptoed to the window and watched the big kids go sledding

The neighbors heard kids yelling and figured the local school won but wondered how they’d missed the game

They watched the kids laughing while sledding then went back to putting presents away

Since I was too little to go play…
